  2. Application Softwaregaining skills in common software operations such as starting programs, loading data and saving data.
  3. System Software, utilizing common operating environment functions including file and disk management.
  4. Computer Hardware, being able to identify hardware components of a computer system.
The following are links to my final project assignments, representing proficiency in the three main Microsoft programs Word, Excel and Powerpoint:

 Reflective Writing

These assignments, and the other smaller assignments given throughout the course, have been a valuable learning experience for me. I have written a number of papers and always felt confident in using Microsoft Word. I was not aware however, of the many and helpful tools the program has to offer. Completing the homework simulations helped put the all the tools available into perspective. Powerpoint I have used as well and learning about the fancy features available, making any presentation look good, was beneficial as well. Excel, however, I never had the opportunity or need to use, until Statistics. Luckily I was taking this computer course the same semester. I quickly learned about the keyboard and mouse functions, which in turn helped to create the graphs and charts I needed for both classes. I now plan on using Excel much more often for my own personal use.
